Music spills onto the sidewalk from a storefront at the corner of 29th Street and 30th Avenue in Astoria’s Greek neighborhood. Just inside, a man sits in a barber chair, plucking at the strings of his guitar-like instrument.
The bouzouki is a passion for 73-year-old Nikos Zigouris, who for 30 years has combined his music with his other job: barber.
